Here is an MP3 of a new friend of mine I met on the blogosphere this past week. His name is Tullian Tchividjian and he is pastor of New City Presbyterian Church in Coconut Creek, Fl. He is a gifted expositor of God's Word and I wanted to introduce him to all of you. This message is called, "Under the Influence" from Ephesian 5:18-21 on the theme of be-being filled with the Holy Spirit. It is an excellent message that I highly commend to you.
His local church is part of the EPC - Evangelical Presbyterian Church and holds to the Westminster Confession of Faith for its doctrinal foundations.
As you can see, his name is quite unusual, but rich in meaning and family heritage. You can read about his name and you just might be surprised who his grandfather is... What an answer to prayer to see another generation of godly men and pastors who are faithful expositional teachers be raised up for such a time as this.
Tullian is guest-blogging this week at Justin Taylor's excellent blog - "Between Two World's."
May I encourage you to continue to pray for pastor Tullian, his family, local church, and the ministry that God would continue to honor his faithfulness to the Lord Jesus and His Word.
His Unworthy Servant in His Unfailing Love,
Steve

Thanks for the word of encouragement Steve. And thanks for the post on your site. The only correction is that the blog you link is not mine. I've never seen it before. I don't have a blog yet. If you could just point that out, I'd be grateful.
Blessings, brother.
Tullian
I am so sorry! I had a friend in the blogosphere say that this was your blog and that it was on your church website as well. I have removed the link permanently.
This is a point of humility for me, for I just don't make these kinds of mistakes... Such is my sanctification for today. Please forgive me for this mistake.
I do appreciate your ministry and am grateful for you...
Grace and peace,
Steve

Steve, no problem. As I'm sure you've been able to tell over the last week or so, I'm not very tech-savvy. I'm learning though. You've been a real blessing to me and I look forward to the day we can meet and enjoy one anothers company face to face.
Pastor Tchividjian,
That was one of the finest sermons I have ever heard preached on being baptized into the Body of Christ and "be being filled" with the Holy Spirit. And I would like very much to hear more of your preaching in the future.
I did not think your name was too long or hard to say. (Well, maybe just a little bit!) The last name looked so familiar. I knew that I had heard it before, perhaps through your grandfather. Your mom is an author, isn't that right?
Well, you are truly a gifted Preacher from what I heard tonight. May God continue to bless your ministry.
In His Love,
Michele Rayburn
Michelle, thank-you so much for your kind encouragement. You are more than welcome to visit our website www.newcityfl.com to find and download for free many more sermons. May God bless you as hear God's word.
Um. His voice sounds just like Erwin McManus.
The message is a bit different. : )
