A quick listen to conservative talk radio will seem to be significantly at odds with that Scriptural command. Discontent is their constant theme, overwhelmingly about money.

I do understand the current focus on conservative talk radio with the economic conditions and issues facing our nation. It is understandable and I for one are grateful for those courageous voices who will stand up with constitutional clarity and hold accountable the current administration and the multi-trillion spending spree they are foolishly doing.
At the same time, you are correct, the biblical command on wealth and where our treasure is should be in seeking first His kingdom; understanding that true riches are in heaven with the Lord.
I so appreciate these two quotes I found and trust they were a blessing to you.

Jesus said that a man can't serve God and money, but it seems that Christians are trying to prove Him wrong!
