A Reformation is as much needed now as in Luther's day, and by God's grace we shall have it, if we trust in him and publish his truth. The cry is, "Overturn, overturn, overturn, till He shall come whose right it is."
Every Sunday, CampOnThis is now dedicated
to bring you selections from Spurgeon's Sword and the Trowel.
They are brief, yet powerful truths, which will
readily prepare us to face the challenges of the week ahead.
I trust through these articles, you will be better equipped
to "battle and build" by the grace and for the glory of the Lord.

"We must sharply grapple the false doctrine, driving the sharp hook of truth between its joints; we must clearly understand the error, and study the Word of God, so as to be able to controvert it."
This is the key, right here. There is no way we can understand what error is unless we are diligent students of the word.
Good stuff here, thanks for posting this, and I look forward to the weekly installment.
Thanks Carla.
I love these brief yet pointed articles by Spurgeon on a myriad of topics. They serve as sign posts for me in ministry.
Glad this one could be a source of encouragement to you.
Grace and peace,

Bro. Steve,
I first saw you speak when I was a student at Southern Seminary in KY. I've since left the SBC and am a pastor with the Missionary Church ( www.mcusa.org )
At any rate, I wanted to thank you for your Blog and Audience of One. With the popularity of the cancer on the body of Christ that is the Emergent Church Movement...it is wonderful to see someone contending for the historic faith of the Bible. God Bless and I look forward to the conversations here!
