Sweden has approved gender-specific abortions, allowing parents to rid themselves of an unwanted daughter in a closely-watched ethics case:

Swedish women will be permitted to abort their children based on the sex of the fetus, according to a ruling by Sweden’s National Board of Health and Welfare.

The ruling was spurred by a request from Kai Wedenberg, head of the clinic where a woman twice requested, and received, an abortion based on sex.

Mr. Wedenberg asked for clarification from health officials after a woman, who already had two girls, requested amniocentesis and to be told the sex of her unborn child. She found out she was pregnant with another girl and asked for an abortion six days later.

The woman then became pregnant again, returned to the clinic and asked for another amniocentesis, which was not performed. Later, at her ultrasound, she asked the nurse to reveal the sex of her fetus, which was a girl. After learning this, the mother requested an abortion later that day and received it later that week.

ABORTION IS MURDER...but Notre Dame still to honor President Obama though he is committed to the destruction of unborn children

Yesterday, a group of faithful law abiding citizens, led by Alan Keyes, were arrested on the campus of Notre Dame University for trespassing while peacefully protesting against the murder of abortion fueled by the University's inviting of pro-abortion President Obama as their commencement speaker on May 17th as well as to receive an honorary doctorate. Considering Obama's radical stance on abortion, this has outraged many across the country from both Protestant and Catholic traditions. Twenty-two protesters were arrested in all. 

President Obama is not shy that he is the most aggressive, pro-abortion President and politician in the history of our nation. He is committed to the murder of unborn children and supports abortion legislation at every stage of pregnancy including "live abortions."

Abortion is the Silent American Holocaust. 

So beloved, with a heart heavy for this issue and burdened with the slaughter of millions of unborn children - may I encourage you to please pray fervently for our nation that the Lord would bring her to her knees in heaven sent renewal unto salvation to wash this land of the blood of this holocaust. Pray for revival to poured out upon the church, that in getting in right in our obedience to Christ that one of the manifested fruits would be that we would stand in the gap and not be silent for unborn children. Pray for reformation to sweep across our land so that we would have the biblical courage to herald the gospel and stand faithfully in our cities to see the lives of unborn children spared, rescued, preserved and protected. Pray, as this weekend we honor our mothers, that in getting right with God the womb in which He births new life would become sacred once again in our nation. And lastly, that with hearts overwhelmed with the great love of God in Christ Jesus which has been given to all of His sheep, pray for President Obama - that if he doesn't know the Lord Jesus Christ beyond a Sunday phrase or casual cultural experience, that God would grant him repentance from sin and the grace to believe the gospel and saving faith to know Jesus as Lord of his life. And if he does know the Lord, that God may open his blind eyes to the reality of this issue - that it is not political, but spiritual. That the abortion of millions of unborn children that he so willingly supports is not a matter of choice or convenience, but murder. For then, and only then, will he turn away from this barbaric practice of the death of countless lives of unborn children.

Children are not things to be thrown away; they are blessings and gifts from God.

He hath showed thee, O man, what is good,

and what doth the Lord require of thee,

but to do justly, and to love mercy, 

and to walk humbly with thy God?

PRESIDENT OBAMA SAID WHAT?...no longer above his pay-grade

Less than two hours ago, Jim Geraghty from NRO reported the following:

President Obama, moments ago, during the National Prayer Breakfast: "We know there is no God who condones the killing of an innocent human being."

So, let me guess, he'll wait another 24 hours before promoting the Freedom of Choice Act?

In response to this astounding and encouraging statement by radical proabortionist, President Obama, Ed Morrissey of HotAir.com wrote these insightful, sobering, and sagely words:

"Perhaps then President Obama would also agree that we know no God who condones the negligent killing of innocent human beings who survive abortions. Of course, Obama would have to acknowledge now that his position has changed since his days in the Illinois state legislature, when he helped protect abortionists by blocking legislation that would have required a second doctor to act on behalf of infants born alive after an abortion. God knows that those children were and are innocents, alive at birth, and left to die in abortion mills.

Perhaps that will also lead Obama to oppose the Freedom of Choice Act, which would remove all existing restrictions on the killing of innocent human beings in the womb. After all, once the sperm and egg combine, the result is a unique being, completely human, and alive. That isn’t a theological determination, but a scientific fact at the moment the cell begins to multiply, within minutes of conception. Certainly that would be the apex of innocence. If no God condones the killing of an innocent human being, the condemnation for that act would begin at life itself.

We will remind Presisdent Obama of his profound words at every opportunity over the next four years, and thank him for making this as clear as possible."

"The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will." (Proverbs 21:1) If President Obama's words were sincere this morning and not mere political accommodational spin to tickle the ears of gathered evangelicals at a prayer breakfast, then I say amen! Could the Lord be turning the heart of our President on this issue towards a culture of life and away from a culture of death?

So keep fervently praying beloved.

In that same chapter of Proverbs 21, Solomon ends as he began - with the Sovereignty of God over human affairs: "The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord."

Oh that we would see the demise of the abortion mill industry at every stage in our lifetime that has been tragically led by those possessing a seared conscience, and whom have delighted ethically, celebrated morally, profited financially, and participated barbarically in the murder of millions of unborn children. May this silent holocaust finally come to an end. Now that is the kind of "change" worth hoping for!

The battle is the Lord's!
