7 The law of the Lord
is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord
is sure,
making wise the simple;
8 the precepts of the Lord
are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord
is pure,
enlightening the eyes;
9 the fear of the Lord
is clean,
enduring forever;
the rules of the Lord
are true,
and righteous altogether.

That reminder brought me to focus on the sanctity of all that is "of the Lord" (and not of ourselves).
So I also think of the grace of the Lord, the salvation of the Lord, the wisdom of the Lord, the wrath of the Lord, and on and on.
Praise to Him alone.

The depth of those verses on the sufficiency and exhaustiveness of Scripture are so profound. No wonder the Psalmist said, "Oh how I love Thy law..."

Just the Word is enough. I never noticed how those verses were made up of three's. What the Word is called, it's characteristic, and what it does.

How precious is the Word of God to those who love the Lord! My prayer is that God's Word would flood my mind and my heart leading to a deeper level of sanctification and passion for Christ and His glory.

That is the prayer for my life too. To have all other things eclipsed by love for the Scriptures and love for the Savior.

We are blessed to be living in a time when we have unlimited access to the Word of God. I shake my head in wonder when I look at my increasing collection of Bibles and I praise God to be living at this time in HIStory. I'm also reminded of William Tyndale and his sacrifice that continues to bless us all and has and continues to lead people to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 10:17).
