EVERYONE IS PROLIFE WHILE IN THE WOMB
...even President Barack Obama

Here is how to pray for President Obama on this issue:

Proverbs 16:12
It is an abomination to kings to do evil,
for the throne is established by righteousness.

Proverbs 20:28

Steadfast love and faithfulness preserve the king,
and by steadfast love his throne is upheld.

Proverbs 21:1

The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord;
he turns it wherever he will.

Proverbs 21:3
To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Proverbs 21:21
Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness
will find life, righteousness, and honor.

Proverbs 24:21
My son, fear the Lord and the king,
and do not join with those who do otherwise

Proverbs 25:5
take away the wicked from the presence of the king,
and his throne will be established in righteousness.

  4. A few days ago someone was debating the legality of abortion with me over on my blog. She was arguing that abortions will happen, so they should be safe and legal. This is what I told her:

Suppose two guys wanted to rape and kill you. Would you want me to do everything in my power to protect you, or would you rather I stand by and say "well, I can't stop them--no use in both of us getting hurt."? Which would you prefer?

  5. Over on CRN they played a clip of John MacArthur minimizing the virtues of legislative morality and extolling the gospel. I have seen him consistantly move in this direction after been somewhat caught up, like all of us, in political persuasion in the 80s and early 90s. He is absolutely right.

We are in the minority which means we will never be able to leverage morality to any extent. The "kingdom" philosophy that teaches God will make the world better is nonesense. Obama was open to Rev. Wright's false Christ, let us pray that some true believer will cross his path and share the gospel.

Politics is a mirage, complete with false promises and self interest. Very rarely will a politician take a stand for anything that isn't advantageous to his political capital, and I humbly believe that we have reached the point where a commited and outspoken Christian could not be elected in most precincts, states, and across the nation.

I pray for Barak Obama, his story is inspiring, his personality seems hospitable, but all of it is nothing without Christ. We can expect nothing but anti-biblical moral decisions unless his heart is changed, however God just may be using this whole narrative to draw the eyes of the church back to Him and Him alone. We are so easily distracted.

This nation has a seared conscience on the issue of murdering unborn children. President Barack Obama's success in being elected, I personally believe, is God's way of giving the people a leader after their own depravity.

I have been praying for our new President that God would grant him saving faith and that President Obama would turn to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. The fruit would be him fighting for the lives of unborn children and not to end their lives.

    Thank you for your comment.

Dr. Piper's sermon this past weekend is amazing on this topic. It was just posted to the website a few minutes ago and I highly recommend all watch or listen to it. (I hope I am allowed to post a link here - long time reader, new to posting). Thank you!

That is an excellent post by John Piper - he really nailed it!

Thank you for this valuable message from John on this important issue.

    Grace and peace,

  10. I shared the same sentiment on my blog a few days ago when I said that, by the very nature of being alive, every unborn child is pro-life!

A former Facebook "friend" said that I was brainwashed, and that abortion was for those who had "found" themselves between a rock and a hard place. My reply? For heavens sake...don't kill the baby for the sins (discomfort) of the mother!

The absurdity of Obama's remarks that he prefers less abortions is so evident in his actions that are so clearly contrary to that statement.

    God save him.

Correct. He may claim to want less but yet he is far left of any of his liberal constituents in making ANY kind of abortion legal and permissible. If he ignites FOCA - the holocaust will only accelerate.

  12. Those conservative Catholics really fight the good fight of faith/works against abortion.

I remember picketting an abortion clinic with some Catholics, and they are fired up, and they sure like to pray their rosaries.

God hates abortion, there's no doubt about it. As we as American-Christians speak out agianst this evil, and so are one in voice with Catholics, and even unbelieving conservatives, is this good with the Lord?

Just wondering what you all thought.

BTW, excellent video. And the comments were quite good as well.

We may believe the same things about being pro-life and about abortion that it is the murder of an unborn child as the Romanists do. But I would not partner with a Romanist in fighting that battle from the standpoint of unity of faith. As fellow citizens who may vote or speak out on an issue we may share common convictions about is one thing; but a coordinated alliance with a Romanist (or any other religious group that denies the gospel of sola fide, sola gratia and solus Christus) on any social ill facing our nation in a binding partnership of ministry to produce societal change is quite another.

I was wondering if anyone would ask what you have here. Thank you. It does my heart good brother...

  14. Thanks Steve. I agree. The Gospel of grace alone thru faith alone needs to be magnified above even saving babies. Without the Gospel, it's a good work, but when Christ is left out, then it's in vain.

I can remember a friend of mine holding signs at an abortion clinic with some Catholics. He mentioned to a Catholic man that praying to Mary was a waste of time, and that God would never hear such a prayer. This Catholic gentleman became quite enraged, to say the least.

We need to speak the truth in love, of course, but I like to say compassion, with passion. Passion for Christ, and for the Gospel.

  15. That is definitely answering a fool according to his folly. A perfect picture of how that proverb is applied.
