THE CRUCIBLE OF GRACE
...where God takes the dross off the silver to make His servants fit for His use
"Every wise workman takes his tools away from the work from time to time that they may be ground and sharpened; so does the only-wise Jehovah take his ministers oftentimes away into darkness and loneliness and trouble, that he may sharpen and prepare them for harder work in his service." -ROBERT MURRAY MCCHEYENE
AMEN! Thanks for this re-posting this quote, Steve. I've shared it with my pastors & have re-read it for my own sake many times. Hopefully others will be encouraged as well.
ReplyDeleteMay God bless you and the all COT participants in 2009.
Thank you my brother. I agree - this quote bears repeating!

This is incredible!! I remember the music you brought to the church back in the 80s and 90s and was entirely blessed and convicted by it. It helped to nurture my faith in the LORD.
ReplyDeleteNow many years later I find that you're writing a BLOG!!! And it has the same heart to it that your music ever did!
THANK YOU for these words brother Steve! May the LIGHT of the LORD shine all the brighter from your heart in these darker and darkening days ahead!
agape, grace, & peace
