HAPPY VETERANS DAY!
...where courage, honor, dignity, and patriotism still have meaning, value, and worth

This YouTube tribute uses the last two verses of “America the Beautiful” as a soundtrack for images from every major war in the last 100 years in which Americans have fought:

All of us at COT and AudienceONE Ministries want to pause and give thanks today for the many women and men serving in the armed forces defending freedom and this nation. We owe you all a great debt for the selfless ways in which you serve your country.

Thank you for the great sacrifice you have made and continue to make each day. As a Christian in ministry, I don't take for granted the freedoms we have in America to proclaim the gospel and worship our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to each of you and your families today.

Run to the Battle,
Steve

Steve,

Of course I totally agree with your sentiments; just want to add that I’m also grateful to veterans who formerly served in our armed forces as well. When I think of what examples of self-denial our soldiers are and the selfless sacrifices they make for all Americans, whether grateful or ungrateful to them for it, it brings me to tears. It reminds me of our Lord’s example to us...the undeserved and unmerited recipients of His ultimate sacrifice. Thank you to all of our nation’s military personnel, past and present, who daily follow His example of unconditional sacrifice.

Mr. Camp:

I appreciate this recognition of veterans. My paternal grandfather served in the Boer War, WWI and WWII. His son, my uncle, served in WWII.

This is an ideal occasion to draw attention to www.foreverremeber.org, a project launched by a friend Loki Mulholland who is a singer/songwriter and filmmaker from Utah, to recognize and honour
fallen soldiers and their families.

From the website:

ForeverRemember.org is a non-profit and non-political site. We understand there are varying opinions about the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. However, we believe that regardless of those disagreements everyone can agree that the families of the fallen soldiers have made a sacrifice.

"Forever Young" is a song and video downloadable for free and to be shared.
