These videos are simply brilliant!

John McCain is one of the classiest men in politics...
Check out his remarks about Obama near the end of this clip.

John McCain is a deeply gracious, honorable man. And his sense of comic timing is outstanding.

I was not a McCain supporter during the primaries and not at all happy when he was the final pick for candidate. But as the election cycle has progressed I've seen more and more to admire in John McCain. His near-perfect comedic delivery is just an added bonus to the many other things I have found to admire.

Wow. I've been down on McCain the last few weeks. That was VERY funny. And classy.

McCain is only two points down in the recent Gallup. I see no indicator that it'll be a landslide at this point. I may not be too happy with some of his politics as I prefer a more Reaganesque candidate, the fact is humanly speaking I'm not worthy to shine the shoes of an alum of the Hanoi Hilton, him or any of them. It was his sense of humor that got his fellow POWs many of those barbaric times. Obviously, a product of the Chicago crime..err political syndicate makes me cringe...

1. The Bible will still be the infallible and unchanging Word of God and the Koran will still be a lie.

2. Those who diligently seek after God will still be able to find Him, when they seek after Him with all their heart.

3. God will still pour out His blessings upon His people and His Spirit on all flesh (in these last days).

4. All of God's promises will still be true and everything promised in His Word will still come to pass.

5. There will still be Spirit-anointed preaching of His Word.

6. There will still be worship lifted up to God in spirit and truth and He will still inhabit the praises of His people.

7. God will still not be willing that ANYONE should perish.

8. If you confess your sins, He will still be faithful to forgive you of your sins and cleanse you from unrighteousness.

9. All men will still know we're His disciples if we love another even as He loved us.

10. Jesus will still love you.

This was on the news here in Christchurch last night:

The funny side to US politics (1:09)

"The two US candidates have put bitter politics to one side, albiet briefly, in favour of a night of light-hearted ribbing at a charity dinner in New York."

Mr. McCain didn't steal the show. I reckon Mr. Obama jumped high and caught the ball before it hit the ground. I get the impression many professing Christians hate Mr. Obama. I could be wrong about that though.

How come you aint put Mr. Obama's response up? He is just as brilliant isn't he? Just different, eh?

How come the Republican government hasn't stamped out abortion?

(Jonathan Edwards, "Resolutions")

Resolved, never to lose one moment of time; but to improve it the most profitable way I possibly can.

Resolved, to maintain the strictest temperance in eating and drinking.

Resolved, never henceforward, until I die, to act as if I were any way my own; but entirely and altogether God's.

Resolved, to endeavor to my utmost to act as I think I would do, if I had already seen the happiness of heaven, and the torments of hell.
