WELCOME TO THE FREAK SHOW
...this is not revival, this is not biblical Christianity; this is a false, immature faith foreign to the gospel

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts will they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.

There was a time when videos like those would have come from anti-christian sources attempting to demean the faith. In a sophisticated age on information and technology, deception can still draw people to the absurd.

Please pray for a family member who is part of their "ministry" team. After I warned him of this man-centered anti-revival his reply was he believed I wasn't wrong, but that God had "multiple streams of theology"--In other words, that God would not have one truth, but would tell people different things.

How can God speak one thing out of one side of His mouth, and another thing out of another side? In reality, how could he tell the truth to one and lie to another? This is not the one true God of the Bible!

Please pray for the (unnamed) family member who is so blind and wrapped up in this. Not only is he blinded by Satan, but is teaching others a way to hell.

I will, Ed, and pass it to others. I have known people delivered from such deception. We will pray.

The name of Jesus Christ is blasphemed in this mans false prophecies. This is the worship of demons as angels. This is a worship of a differant Jesus. Be not deceived, God is not mocked. This is full hilt mockery of the Triune God. There is a hot place in hell for this man if he does not repent of his evil deeds that mislead others like sheep going astray. Woe to this man if he does not repent, for the wrath of God must burn at full hilt as this mans mockery burns toward my Jesus. His foot shall slide in due time if he does not repent. This cannot be allowed to be seen as Christian. It must be clearly divided from us as evil and the work of the wicked one.

Grace upon grace,

Brian

So we shall do, brother mine by grace. Things not possible with us are possible with God.

23 “Am I a God who is near,” declares the Lord,
“And not a God far off?
24 “Can a man hide himself in hiding places so I do not see him?” declares the Lord.
“Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord.
25 “I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy falsely in My name, saying, ‘I had a dream, I had a dream!’
26 “How long? Is there anything in the hearts of the prophets who prophesy falsehood, even these prophets of the deception of their own heart,
27 who intend to make My people forget My name by their dreams which they relate to one another, just as their fathers forgot My name because of Baal?
28 “The prophet who has a dream may relate his dream, but let him who has My word speak My word in truth. What does straw have in common with grain?” declares the Lord.
29 “Is not My word like fire?” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer which shatters a rock?
30 “Therefore behold, I am against the prophets,” declares the Lord, “who steal My words from each other.
31 “Behold, I am against the prophets,” declares the Lord, “who use their tongues and declare, ‘The Lord declares.’
32 “Behold, I am against those who have prophesied false dreams,” declares the Lord, “and related them and led My people astray by their falsehoods and reckless boasting; yet I did not send them or command them, nor do they furnish this people the slightest benefit,” declares the Lord.
[Jeremiah 23:23]

Simply destructive. What else can you call it?

Charismatic churches, which is what bore this movement, often tread the line of blasphemy. Who confirmed upon his man an ordination? This is twisted stuff, and I could only watch a bit of the first clip. This kind of thing makes me sick to my stomach.

Slain in the spirit, drunk in the spirit, playing parcheesi in the spirit, no matter what you call it, it's destructive teaching.

We've had maybe a dozen from my church travel to Lakeland. When they came back they put it on the overhead at church. I went and was not impressed. Pray for us. We appear to be heading into difficult waters.

How can anyone feel that when someone says, "Blah, blah, blah..." as somehow a demonstration of speaking in tongues??? That is an immediate red flag, but the people have been so ignorant of what they hear and only tune in to what they see.

Truly, deception at work just as the Scripture says, "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works." 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.

There needs to be Holy Ghost revival of evangelists in the streets preaching the TRUE GOSPEL.

Would it be possible to interview C.J. Mahaney and get his spin on all of this, he does hold to a charismatic/pentecostal belief system. Here is a excerpt from his church's statement of faith;

'The Holy Spirit desires to fill each believer continually with increased power for Christian life and witness, and imparts his supernatural gifts for the edification of the Body and for various works of ministry in the world. All the gifts of the Holy Spirit at work in the church of the first-century are available today, are vital for the mission of the church, and are to be earnestly desired and practiced.'

I certainly hope he refutes Fraud Bentley's actions and teachings!

That's such a lame deception, worse than Bob Tilton really, AND YET, people go listen to this deceiver.
It has to be God showing us how bad our minds can really become. And that should cause us to fear.

"And for this cause Gos shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: ... because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." 2 Thes. 2:11,10

It's so difficult to watch this crazy liar. I become angry, and then sad. I know people who would say, "You better not judge God's anoited".
He's not God's anoited.
May the Lord have mercy on his soul.

On a quasi-amusing note - if you look at the second video at about 6:12 - in the lower left corner, for about 2 seconds while this looney is ranting about angels, you'll see a woman waving a stuffed Whinnie the Pooh over her head....

I'm wonder if Pooh is also an angel.

Well, brother, you know that Pooh was a bear of "very little brain." (Remember the "removal of our minds" line)?
(Insert your own jokes here). ;-)

"Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff, he's Winnie-the-Pooh, willy-nilly-silly old bear."

Mr Todd Bentley reminds me of the Pokemon characters on kids cartoons on TV especially when he starts with the "BAM!" nonsense!
All of this is geared toward "baby" chistians or merely people looking after a sign, an experience with whom they think is God.
Unbeknownst to them, Bentley and company, God has ALREADY taken the foolishness of the preaching of the Cross to confound the wise. No one can take that place, even some "road show" like this preaching wealth and health which is NO gospel at all! If a revival is NOT preaching repentance and salvation by Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ + NOTHING, it is not of God!

I love when people say "touch not God's annointed." This relieves the man of his spiritual responsibility.

1 Samuel 24:6 is saying that David could not kill the King (God's annointed) and remain guiltless. Unless someone is planning on murdering the "man of God" This scripture does not apply.

Do you know if there is anyway to access those videos? It seems like they have been removed from youtube.

Tom, try this link. I think "local pastor" has a cluster of Lakeland/Bentley videos, including the ones originally posted/linked to:

I just tried these videos and they all work. Maybe it is a problem with your computer or browser?

Not sure.

Hope you are feeling better! Praying for you my brother.

Tom,

Tom, if you still can't access the YouTube videos, try shutting down and restarting your browser - that usually works to resolve any minor glitches, especially if you're running FireFox.

Steve and Deb:

Thanks. I switched to Firefox and got them to work. Boy, this guy is a lunatic. How tragic!

I am feeling a little better, Steve. Thanks for your prayers.

Great news that you are feeling a bit better. And I am glad you were able to get these videos working.

Unfortunately, they are only the tip of the iceberg. You can watch the evening sessions live by going to www.God.tv - you will have to sign up, but it takes just a few seconds. They also have all of the Florida Outpouring services by month that you can stream as well.

After watching these horrific displays in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, can there be any doubt that we need a new reformation, a genuine revival and Spirit led renewal according to the Word of God.

I love you my brother; I am so proud to call you friend and so grateful to the Lord for your voice in greater evangelicalism today. BTW, the Founder's Conference was good to hear. Excellent messages. Good to see Ed Stetzer included as well - he is a friend of mine.

Grace to you my brother,
Steve

Tom,
There is a browser glitch which sometimes indicates YouTube videos are no longer available, for some reason. Shutting down and restarting FireFox seems to resolve it - I think it doesn't play well with other types of streaming audio/video in the same session. On to the more important part...

We continue to pray for complete restoration of your health, even as we concurrently thank God for leaving you here with us and your family.

I reckon you've had enough levity over the last few days ... even so and that notwithstanding, we trust you're going to forgo any further electrifying experiences. ;-)

The Lord bless and keep you and your family.
