(I'm not as much a student of the game as I am a student of the coaches and their methods). Coach Wooden will turn 96 years "young" this October 14th; and it's definitely an understatement to say that there'll never be another coach like him.
The Official Website of Coach John Wooden.littlegal_66https://www.blogger.com/profile/09424599483109788899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14012689.post-1160071698499621802006-10-05T14:08:00.000-04:002006-10-05T14:08:00.000-04:00Steve,1. I've always heard of coach John Wooden, and read quotations from him from time to time, and considered him wise, as well as effective. Now I know why.

2. Good article.

3. Your link to Southern View Chapel was an added delight. Pastor Gilley has an amazing bunch of book reviews that are extremely insightful, even if one doesn't always agree with him (I usually do). Excellent.

Steve, have you ministered there?

Blessings,
TerryTerry Rayburnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00888533194435826837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14012689.post-1160068022654078742006-10-05T13:07:00.000-04:002006-10-05T13:07:00.000-04:00I vividly remember the words of my (supposed) Chri...I vividly remember the words of my (supposed) Christian coach during my first junior football practice as a child. Paraphrasing, he said, “Football is not a game for sissies. It’s kill or be killed. Anything goes inside the lines of that field.” He then took valuable practice time to teach the team how to intimidate the opposing players by “trash talking” and how to (at the bottom of a pile of players) reach through the ear holes of the other team’s helmets and pull their hair.

Just keep your hands away from my hair while we're on the boat.Jeremy Weaverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02552780649310262425noreply@blogger.com
