I want to personally thank Stephanie for this wonderful graphic she drew a few days ago... Well done "littlegal" and I am honored you chose to share your talents with all of us here at COT.

Littlegal,

Very excellent portrait of Steve!

I used to do portraits, also, and had been wanting to do one of Steve when I had the time. But now that you have done such an excellent job, I don't feel like I need to! I would love to have a print of it if possible.

In His Love,
Michele

Comment on "Out of their Minds":::

I loved End of the Spear. I knew going in about Chad Allen and his background. It did not bother me at all. I do not agree with the homosexual activists nor do I condone homosexuality, but that does not make me biased against them and if he was the best man for this job, than so be it. Simply put, Jesus told us to love one another. I guess it is just hard to draw the line on judging someone else's sins. For example, would you have cast an adulterer? What about a convicted car thief? The Bible teaches that ALL sins are wrong, but no where are we taught that one sin is worse than the other. They are all wrong in God's view.

Who knows, maybe God is planting some seeds and using this experience to speak to Chad's heart. It is not our place to judge others.

That said, even if the movie did not mention specifically the name of Jesus Christ, it did portray the amazing effect of forgiveness and love, both of which are virtues of Christianity. It touched my heart, and had I not already known about the love of Christ, I would have been compelled to explore further this notion of forgiveness.

Friends, you are all too kind, and I'm so humbled by your words.

Hess, your comment means a lot coming from someone of your artistic calibre. I have great respect for your work.

Campi-I love the article you've linked the graphic to (when it's clicked on). Thank you for giving me the awesome privilege of the drawing leading visitors to such a significant ministry page on the site. You linked it well, and I consider it an honor.

Michele--$75.00 "Buy It Now" on eBay. (I'm JUST joking)!! :-)

Seriously, in keeping with Campi's unwritten policy regarding use of most of this blog's content, I personally do not mind you "right-clicking" and saving the image for printing, as long as it's okay with Steve, and as long as you don't try to sell copies.

BTW, as someone familiar with creating portraits, I'm sure you and Hess know how tricky it can be at times to realistically render a particular individual's facial features. Anyone care to guess which facial feature of Steve's I kept struggling with to get "just right?" About four hours of erasing and re-doing.......quite a complicated endeavor. HINT: It's very appropriate, given Campi's "slightly outspoken" [;-)] reputation.

It looks like you illustrated perfectly his expressive response during the commercial break where he responds to the stupid people with "Sir, where does it say stupid written on me?"

Littlegal,

That's very kind of you to say that - that's very encouraging coming from you. Really, I'm lost when it comes to anything other than cartooning. :) I really am quite impressed with your work, and hope you'll share more with us in the future. Keep up the good work. BTW, what medium did you use for that?

Hess--

I'm going to email you off-blog to continue the discussion; otherwise, I'm afraid I may come close to violating the first axiom in COT's "Rules of Engagement." :-)
